The role focuses on practical English development, professional communication, and building confidence in real-world situations.Key Areas of Responsibility

• Facilitate engaging virtual mentoring sessions for learners at different English proficiency levels
• Help learners develop effective communication for academic, professional, and everyday situations
• Strengthen learners’ spoken English, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and sentence construction
• Conduct practical activities such as discussions, simulations, presentations, and role-based exercises
• Help learners communicate ideas clearly, confidently, and professionally
• Provide guidance on workplace communication, professional conversations, meetings, and presentations
• Support learners with professional writing, including emails, reports, messages, and workplace correspondence
• Review learner work and provide specific, constructive feedback
• Assess learner requirements and adapt session content accordingly
• Encourage active participation and consistent communication during sessions
• Introduce relevant US workplace and professional communication scenarios where appropriate
• Help learners prepare for interviews, networking conversations, presentations, and otherprofessional interactions
• Maintain learner engagement and provide ongoing motivation throughout the mentoring journey
• Contribute to the development and improvement of online learning activities and resourcesCore Requirements
• Excellent command of spoken and written English with strong vocabulary and language accuracy
• Demonstrated experience in English mentoring, teaching, training, coaching, or professional communication
• Strong understanding of English grammar, sentence structure, pronunciation, and language usage
• Excellent verbal communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
• Ability to explain language concepts clearly to learners with different levels of proficiency
• Strong active-listening and interpersonal skills
• Ability to identify individual communication gaps and provide targeted guidance
• Experience creating or delivering structured learning sessions
• Ability to develop engaging exercises, discussions, assignments, and practical activities
• Strong learner-management and classroom engagement skills in a virtual environment
• Ability to provide constructive feedback in a professional and encouraging manner
• Comfortable mentoring learners from different cultural, academic, and professional backgrounds
• Ability to adapt mentoring techniques according to individual learner needs and learning styles
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prepare and manage sessions effectively
• Reliable and consistent availability for scheduled online sessions
• Comfortable using video-conferencing platforms, online learning systems, digital presentation tools, and other virtual teaching technologies
• Ability to maintain professional communication and learner confidentiality
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond effectively to learner questions

• Degree or professional qualification in English, Education, Communications, Linguistics, or a related field
• Experience mentoring university students, graduates, or working professionals
• Background in Business English, corporate communication, or career-focused English
• Experience conducting interview preparation or presentation coaching
• Familiarity with online course development and digital learning resources
• TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, DELTA, or equivalent certification is an advantage
