قدّم وتابع مع أبلاي إيدجWe are seeking an experienced HSE Specialist to support the delivery of a utility-scale Solar Independent Power Producer (IPP) project. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring HSE performance, supporting implementation of the project HSE management system, conducting inspections and audits, and ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, standards and project requirements. Further key responsibilities include:Implement and monitor the project's Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) requirements throughout design, construction and commissioning.Monitor the HSE performance of contractors and subcontractors and ensure compliance with approved HSE plans and procedures.Conduct regular site inspections, HSE audits, toolbox talks and safety meetings.Identify hazards and assess risks associated with construction and solar PV activities.Review risk assessments, method statements, emergency response plans and other HSE documentation.Monitor high-risk activities including working at height, lifting operations, electrical works, excavation, heavy equipment, hot works and construction activities.Investigate incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.Maintain HSE records, statistics, inspection reports and performance indicators.Support emergency preparedness, drills and response activities.Promote a strong HSE culture among project personnel, contractors and subcontractors.Monitor environmental aspects of construction activities and coordinate with relevant environmental specialists.Ensure compliance with applicable Oman legislation, client requirements, international HSE standards and project procedures.Participate in project meetings and provide HSE performance updates and recommendations to the Project Team Leader.Support continual improvement through lessons learned, corrective actions and HSE awareness initiatives.REQUIRED SKILLS:Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering or a related discipline.Minimum 10 years of relevant HSE experience, preferably on major construction, power, renewable energy or infrastructure projects.Previous experience in utility-scale Solar PV / Solar IPP projects is highly desirable.Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 and HSE management systems.Knowledge of environmental management principles and ISO 14001 is an advantage.Experience in contractor HSE management, audits, inspections and incident investigation.Good knowledge of risk assessment, permit-to-work systems and emergency response procedures.Familiarity with Oman HSE legislation and regulatory requirements is highly desirable.Strong communication, reporting, leadership and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and multicultural project environment.Experience in the Oman/GCC renewable energy or power sector is preferable. Additional HSE certifications such as NEBOSH Environmental, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, ISO 14001 Lead Auditor, First Aid or Incident Investigation are advantageous and previous experience with EPC contractors and large-scale construction projects.
