In this role, you will be responsible for managing environmental activities across projects, including construction assurance, environmental monitoring, regulatory liaison, stakeholder engagement, and environmental data analysis and reporting. The role requires strong technical capability across environmental disciplines and extensive experience working within the GCC and Saudi Arabia.Develop, implement, and oversee environmental management systems and programs in accordance with applicable Saudi Arabian environmental legislation, regulatory requirements, project commitments and relevant international standardsConduct environmental risk assessments, compliance reviews, site inspections and construction environmental assurance activities to identify potential compliance gaps and areas for improvementPrepare and maintain detailed environmental documentation, records, monitoring reports, technical assessments and reports for regulatory submissions and internal stakeholder reviewManage and review environmental monitoring and modelling activities, including air quality, noise and vibrationProvide technical oversight and advice in relation to hydrology, ecology and contaminationAnalyze environmental data and metrics to track performance against established targets, identify trends and support technical and regulatory decision-makingCollaborate with cross-functional teams and project disciplines to integrate environmental considerations into design, construction and project deliveryEnsure compliance with all applicable environmental laws, regulations, permits, approvals, project environmental requirements and organizational policiesLead environmental regulatory liaison and coordinate submissions, approvals and responses to environmental authorities in Saudi ArabiaManage engagement with clients, regulators, contractors, consultants and other project stakeholders on environmental mattersOversee environmental monitoring programmes and review monitoring data to identify exceedances, trends and required mitigation or corrective actionsInvestigate environmental incidents and non-conformances, and implement corrective and preventive actionsStay current with changes in environmental regulations and industry standards relevant to operations in Saudi ArabiaCommunicate and present environmental findings, risks, performance and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholdersQualificationsMinimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in environmental managementProven experience in construction environmental assurance and environmental complianceStrong knowledge of environmental regulations, standards, and best practices, particularly those applicable in Saudi ArabiaDemonstrated experience in environmental monitoring, including interpretation and analysis of monitoring dataTechnical proficiency in air quality, noise and vibration monitoring and modellingTechnical knowledge and experience in hydrology, ecology and contaminationProven experience in regulatory liaison and engagement with environmental authoritiesStrong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience coordinating with clients, regulators, contractors, consultants and multidisciplinary project teamsDemonstrated ability to analyze environmental data and prepare comprehensive reportsStrong data analysis and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical environmental information clearlyExcellent organizational and project management skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are preferredAbility to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholdersStrong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
