compliant, efficient, and sustainable projects.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Environmental Engineering Manager to lead environmental engineering, assessment, compliance, permitting, sustainability, environmental risk management, and technical advisory activities across projects and operations.The successful candidate will provide technical and managerial leadership throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring environmental requirements are integrated into planning, design, construction, commissioning, and operational activities.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement environmental engineering strategies, standards, procedures, and management systems.Lead environmental assessments, studies, investigations, and technical reviews.Manage environmental requirements during feasibility, design, construction, commissioning, and operations.Identify environmental risks, impacts, constraints, and opportunities across projects.Develop and maintain Environmental Management Plans and environmental control procedures.Coordinate environmental impact assessments and supporting technical studies.Manage environmental permitting, approvals, licenses, and regulatory submissions.Monitor compliance with applicable environmental laws, regulations, standards, and project requirements.Coordinate with regulatory authorities, consultants, contractors, and other external stakeholders.Provide environmental engineering input into project planning and design decisions.Review engineering designs for environmental risks and compliance requirements.Establish environmental performance objectives, targets, and monitoring programs.Manage environmental monitoring for air quality, water quality, soil, noise, waste, biodiversity, and other relevant parameters.Oversee environmental sampling, testing, inspections, surveys, and data analysis.Review environmental reports, technical studies, assessments, and consultant deliverables.Manage environmental consultants, laboratories, specialist contractors, and technical service providers.Define scopes of work, technical specifications, deliverables, schedules, and performance requirements.Evaluate consultant and contractor performance against environmental requirements.Establish environmental quality assurance and quality-control processes.Investigate environmental incidents, non-conformances, complaints, and potential violations.Lead root-cause analysis and development of corrective and preventive actions.Monitor implementation of environmental mitigation and control measures.Develop strategies for pollution prevention, resource efficiency, and environmental risk reduction.Oversee waste-management, hazardous-material, spill-prevention, and pollution-control programs.Support contaminated-site investigations, remediation planning, and environmental restoration where required.Provide technical guidance on water conservation, wastewater management, emissions, and resource management.Support biodiversity, habitat, ecological, and land-management initiatives where applicable.Integrate climate, resilience, sustainability, and environmental considerations into engineering solutions.Support carbon reduction, energy efficiency, and environmental performance improvement initiatives.Review environmental aspects of construction methodologies, temporary works, and site activities.Conduct environmental audits, inspections, compliance reviews, and project assessments.Track environmental findings, corrective actions, permits, commitments, and compliance obligations.Maintain environmental registers, databases, documentation, monitoring records, and technical files.Develop environmental reporting for project teams, senior management, clients, and regulators.Establish environmental KPIs and dashboards to monitor performance and trends.Identify opportunities for process improvement, digital environmental monitoring, and environmental data management.Support environmental due diligence for acquisitions, developments, investments, and major projects.Participate in risk assessments, design reviews, constructability reviews, and project governance meetings.Provide technical leadership and mentoring to environmental engineers and specialists.Promote environmental awareness and compliance throughout project and operational teams.Coordinate environmental requirements with Health, Safety, Quality, Sustainability, Engineering, and Construction functions.Ensure environmental commitments are clearly communicated to contractors and project stakeholders.Support emergency preparedness and response for environmental incidents and pollution events.Stay informed about emerging environmental technologies, regulatory developments, engineering practices, and sustainability successful candidate should have strong experience in environmental engineering, environmental management, environmental compliance, infrastructure, construction, industrial projects, consulting, or sustainability-related engineering, preferably within complex international projects.The candidate should demonstrate:Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.Significant experience managing environmental engineering or environmental management activities.Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, permitting, compliance, and regulatory processes.Experience with environmental impact assessments and environmental monitoring programs.Experience managing environmental consultants, contractors, laboratories, and specialist providers.Strong understanding of environmental risk assessment and mitigation.Knowledge of pollution prevention, waste management, water management, emissions, and environmental controls.Experience with environmental management systems and audit processes.Strong project-management, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to interpret technical environmental studies, engineering reports, and monitoring data.Strong communication and stakeholder-management capabilities.Experience working with multidisciplinary and geographically distributed teams.Strong documentation, reporting, and regulatory-submission skills.Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines, and environmental risks simultaneously.Professional environmental or engineering certification is highly desirable.Additional regional or international environmental experience is an advantage.Strong commitment to
