The ideal candidate will combine scientific expertise with research leadership to generate high-quality evidence addressing climate, ecosystems, biodiversity, pollution, natural resources, environmental risk, and sustainability challenges.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement environmental research strategies, research portfolios, scientific programmes, project plans, and long-term research roadmaps aligned with organizational objectives.Lead multidisciplinary research projects covering climate change, biodiversity, ecology, water resources, air quality, soil, marine environments, pollution, environmental health, natural resources, and sustainability.Design research methodologies, sampling strategies, field studies, laboratory investigations, monitoring programmes, experimental protocols, and data-collection frameworks.Collaborate with Environmental Scientists, Ecologists, Hydrologists, Geologists, Marine Scientists, GIS Specialists, Data Scientists, Engineers, Sustainability Professionals, Regulatory Teams, Universities, Research Institutions, and Executive Leadership.Conduct literature reviews, scientific assessments, environmental baseline studies, impact assessments, risk assessments, trend analyses, and evidence synthesis.Lead environmental field programmes involving ecological surveys, biodiversity assessments, water-quality monitoring, air-quality monitoring, soil sampling, habitat assessments, marine surveys, and environmental monitoring where applicable.Establish research quality standards covering scientific integrity, sampling accuracy, laboratory procedures, data validation, statistical methods, documentation, reproducibility, and research ethics.Develop environmental datasets, geospatial databases, research repositories, monitoring systems, scientific models, and knowledge-management frameworks.Analyze environmental data using statistical modelling, geospatial analysis, remote sensing, ecological modelling, time-series analysis, predictive modelling, and environmental indicators.Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) including research quality, project delivery, publication output, data integrity, research impact, stakeholder adoption, environmental outcomes, funding performance, and research programme efficiency.Monitor emerging environmental trends, climate risks, biodiversity changes, pollution patterns, environmental technologies, scientific developments, and regulatory developments relevant to research programmes.Lead environmental modelling, scenario analysis, forecasting, risk assessment, climate impact analysis, ecosystem assessment, and sustainability research.Develop research partnerships with universities, government agencies, environmental organizations, laboratories, technology companies, research institutes, NGOs, and specialist consultants.Prepare research proposals, grant applications, technical reports, scientific papers, conference presentations, environmental assessments, policy briefs, and executive research summaries.Manage research budgets, grants, laboratories, field equipment, specialist contractors, research consultants, analytical services, scientific software, monitoring equipment, and external research partnerships.Ensure environmental research complies with applicable UAE environmental requirements, research ethics, scientific standards, permitting conditions, health and safety requirements, data governance, and organizational policies.Drive digital transformation through artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, remote sensing, satellite imagery, environmental digital twins, automated monitoring, predictive environmental modelling, and advanced scientific analytics.Utilize ArcGIS, QGIS, Google Earth Engine, R, Python, MATLAB, ENVI, ERDAS Imagine, Power BI, Tableau, Microsoft 365, statistical software, environmental databases, laboratory information systems, remote sensing platforms, and scientific modelling tools.Develop executive environmental research dashboards, scientific assessments, risk maps, trend reports, research portfolios, environmental indicators, strategic recommendations, and decision-support materials for senior leadership.Lead, mentor, and develop environmental scientists, research scientists, field researchers, data analysts, GIS specialists, laboratory personnel, research assistants, and multidisciplinary scientific teams while fostering a culture of scientific integrity, curiosity, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Ecology, Biology, Earth Sciences, Geology, Marine Science, Chemistry, Hydrology, Climate Science, Sustainability, or a related field.Master's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Climate Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Conservation, Marine Science, or a related discipline is highly advantageous.PhD in an environmental research discipline is preferred for research-intensive programmes.Professional certifications or memberships with recognized environmental, scientific, GIS, sustainability, or research organizations are advantageous.Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental research, environmental science, ecology, sustainability research, climate research, environmental monitoring, or related scientific roles.At least 2 years of experience managing environmental research programmes, scientific teams, field studies, research partnerships, laboratories, or multidisciplinary environmental projects preferred.Strong understanding of environmental research methodologies, scientific study design, environmental monitoring, statistics, ecological assessment, climate science, environmental risk, data analysis, and research quality management.Experience with ArcGIS, QGIS, Google Earth Engine, R, Python, MATLAB, ENVI, ERDAS Imagine, Power BI, Tableau, Microsoft 365, environmental databases, remote sensing platforms, and scientific modelling technologies.Familiarity with AI-powered environmental modelling, machine learning, satellite-based monitoring, automated environmental sensing, digital twins, predictive climate analytics, ecological modelling, and advanced geospatial technologies is highly advantageous.Strong scientific leadership, research design, analytical, statistical, technical writing, communication, stakeholder management, project management, grant management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple research initiatives while balancing scientific rigor, field constraints, environmental risks, regulatory requirements, budgets, funding requirements, research timelines, data quality, and stakeholder expectations.Ability to work effectively in a remote environment with distributed scientific, environmental, engineering, GIS, data, sustainability, regulatory, and executive teams, with occasional travel for field studies, conferences, laboratory activities, stakeholder meetings, research collaborations, site assessments, and scientific workshops as required.What We
