Environmental Research Manager to lead environmental research programs, scientific studies, field investigations, data analysis, and multidisciplinary research initiatives.The successful candidate will manage research projects addressing environmental challenges such as marine ecosystems, biodiversity, climate change, water resources, pollution, habitat conservation, environmental impact, and environmental management.🚀 What You'll DoDevelop and implement environmental research strategies aligned with organizational prioritiesLead multidisciplinary environmental research programs from concept through completionIdentify emerging environmental issues, research priorities, and opportunities for scientific investigationDevelop research proposals, methodologies, budgets, timelines, and implementation plansManage field studies, environmental surveys, sampling programs, laboratory analysis, and monitoring activitiesOversee environmental data collection, quality assurance, statistical analysis, interpretation, and reportingConduct and manage research relating to biodiversity, ecosystems, climate, water, air quality, soil, marine environments, and environmental pollutionLead environmental baseline studies and long-term monitoring programsEvaluate environmental impacts associated with projects, developments, and operational activitiesDevelop scientific models, research frameworks, environmental indicators, and monitoring methodologiesManage internal researchers, scientists, technicians, consultants, laboratories, and external research partnersCollaborate with universities, government authorities, research institutions, NGOs, and industry stakeholdersDevelop partnerships and collaborative research programs at national and international levelsPrepare technical reports, scientific publications, research papers, presentations, and executive briefingsTranslate complex scientific findings into practical recommendations for management and policymakersMonitor environmental trends and emerging technologies relevant to environmental researchSupport environmental policy development, sustainability programs, conservation initiatives, and strategic planningEnsure research activities comply with applicable UAE environmental regulations, permits, ethical requirements, and scientific standardsManage research budgets, grants, procurement, equipment, and project resourcesEstablish research KPIs and monitor project performance, quality, and scientific outcomesIdentify opportunities for innovative technologies such as remote sensing, GIS, environmental sensors, drones, AI, and data analyticsPromote knowledge sharing, scientific excellence, and continuous improvement within the organization✅ What We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Marine Science, Biology, Environmental Engineering, Conservation Science, Earth Sciences, or a related field5–10+ years of experience in environmental research, environmental science, conservation, sustainability, or a related disciplineProven experience managing environmental research projects and multidisciplinary scientific teamsStrong knowledge of environmental monitoring, field research, data analysis, and scientific methodologiesExperience designing research studies, sampling programs, monitoring frameworks, and technical assessmentsStrong analytical and scientific-reporting capabilitiesExperience managing research budgets, consultants, laboratories, and external research partnersExcellent project-management, leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skillsAbility to communicate scientific findings effectively to technical and non-technical audiencesStrong understanding of the UAE environmental landscape and regulatory environment is highly desirable🌟 Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree or PhD in Environmental Science, Ecology, Marine Biology, Conservation, Climate Science, Environmental Management, or a related disciplineExperience managing peer-reviewed research, scientific publications, grants, or collaborative research programsStrong knowledge of GIS, remote sensing, environmental modeling, statistical analysis, and environmental databasesExperience with tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, R, Python, or equivalent analytical platformsExperience researching marine and coastal ecosystems, desert ecology, biodiversity, water resources, climate change, or environmental pollutionKnowledge of UAE and GCC environmental policies, standards, and regulatory requirementsExperience working with UAE government environmental authorities, universities, research centers, or conservation organizationsExperience with environmental impact assessments, ecological surveys, environmental monitoring, and sustainability studiesKnowledge of international environmental frameworks, ESG principles, and sustainability standardsExperience managing regional research projects across the UAE and GCCPrevious
