to understand environmental risks and develop practical solutions.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Environmental Research Manager to lead environmental research programs, field studies, data analysis, scientific investigations, technical assessments, research partnerships, and knowledge development.The ideal candidate will combine strong scientific expertise with project leadership, analytical capabilities, stakeholder management, and the ability to translate complex environmental findings into practical business and sustainability decisions.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement environmental research strategies aligned with organizational objectives.Lead multidisciplinary environmental research programs across relevant locations and ecosystems.Define research priorities, objectives, methodologies, timelines, budgets, and expected outcomes.Manage environmental baseline studies, impact research, monitoring programs, and applied scientific investigations.Design and oversee field surveys, sampling programs, laboratory analysis, and environmental assessments.Establish scientifically robust research methodologies, sampling plans, quality controls, and data-management procedures.Coordinate research covering air, water, soil, biodiversity, ecosystems, waste, climate, pollution, and natural resources as applicable.Manage environmental sampling programs and ensure appropriate sample collection, preservation, transportation, and analysis.Work with accredited laboratories, universities, consultants, research institutes, and specialist technical providers.Review research proposals, study designs, technical methodologies, and scientific deliverables.Ensure research activities follow recognized scientific, ethical, environmental, and regulatory standards.Analyze environmental datasets and identify trends, patterns, risks, and relationships.Apply statistical analysis, GIS, remote sensing, modeling, and other analytical techniques where appropriate.Evaluate environmental impacts, risks, vulnerabilities, and potential mitigation measures.Translate scientific findings into clear technical reports, recommendations, and management insights.Prepare research reports, scientific papers, presentations, dashboards, and executive briefings.Maintain comprehensive research databases, datasets, sampling records, laboratory results, and technical documentation.Establish data-quality assurance and quality-control procedures.Verify the accuracy, completeness, consistency, and traceability of environmental data.Develop environmental indicators and monitoring frameworks to support long-term research programs.Monitor emerging environmental science, technologies, regulations, methodologies, and research priorities.Evaluate new technologies for environmental monitoring, sensing, modeling, automation, and data collection.Support environmental impact assessments, permitting activities, regulatory submissions, and compliance programs.Provide scientific input into environmental management plans and sustainability strategies.Identify environmental risks requiring further investigation or additional monitoring.Coordinate research programs related to climate change, resource efficiency, conservation, pollution prevention, or ecological resilience.Develop partnerships with universities, government agencies, scientific organizations, and research networks.Manage research grants, contracts, scopes of work, budgets, milestones, and external research deliverables.Establish research governance, review processes, technical standards, and documentation requirements.Lead internal and external technical reviews of environmental research.Ensure research findings are communicated appropriately to technical and non-technical stakeholders.Support publication, conference presentations, knowledge-sharing, and internal learning activities where appropriate.Manage environmental research budgets and optimize the use of scientific resources.Identify opportunities for collaboration, innovation, and research funding.Coordinate field teams and ensure appropriate health, safety, environmental, and operational controls.Develop fieldwork procedures for remote locations, difficult environments, and potentially hazardous conditions.Ensure environmental research activities comply with applicable permits, regulations, and organizational requirements.Investigate unexpected environmental findings and coordinate follow-up studies.Develop corrective actions and research recommendations based on study results.Use research evidence to support environmental risk reduction and continuous improvement.Maintain research schedules and ensure critical studies are delivered on time.Provide regular value and business impact.Ideal CandidateThe successful candidate should have strong experience in environmental research, environmental science, ecology, environmental engineering, sustainability research, natural-resource management, or a related scientific field.The candidate should demonstrate:Proven experience managing environmental research or scientific programs.Strong knowledge of environmental research methodologies and field-study design.Experience with environmental sampling, laboratory analysis, monitoring, and data interpretation.Strong understanding of environmental science, ecological systems, and environmental risk assessment.Experience managing multidisciplinary research teams and external technical partners.Strong analytical and statistical capabilities.Familiarity with GIS, remote sensing, environmental modeling, or environmental data platforms.Experience preparing technical reports and presenting scientific findings.Strong
