Environmental Risk Assessment & Exposure Modelling Consultant

An opportunity for an experienced environmental risk assessment and exposure modelling specialist to join a scientific consultancy supporting chemical, pharmaceutical and industrial clients.You will undertake environmental exposure and risk assessments under regulatory frameworks including UK/EU REACH, Biocides and human and veterinary medicines.The RoleConduct environmental exposure and risk assessmentsDevelop PEC/PNEC assessments and Risk Characterisation Ratios (RCRs)Undertake exposure modelling using tools such as EUSES, TRA, CHESAR, RISKOFDERM and SimpleTreatDevelop and refine exposure scenarios using ERCs, SPERCs and site-specific dataReview environmental fate, ecotoxicity, emissions and monitoring dataPrepare Chemical Safety Reports, Exposure Scenarios and eSDSProvide clear technical and regulatory advice to clientsAbout YouYou will have experience in environmental risk assessment, exposure modelling or chemical risk assessment, ideally gained within consultancy, industry or a regulatory environment.Experience of UK/EU REACH, EUSES, TRA, CHESAR, RISKOFDERM and SimpleTreat, PEC/PNEC assessment, environmental fate or ecotoxicology would be particularly valuable.A relevant scientific background in environmental science, chemistry, ecotoxicology, toxicology or a related discipline is preferred.A great opportunity to apply your scientific and regulatory expertise to varied and technically challenging chemical risk assessment projects.Key Skills: Exposure Science, exposure assessment, risk assessment, modelling, EUSES, TRA, CHESAR, RISKOFDERM, SimpleTreat, consultancy, data review, REACHVRS Regulatory is the Regulatory Affairs and Risk Assessment division of specialist scientific recruiter VRS.
