Epic Clinical Documentation Principal TrainerHybrid/Remote OpportunityMUST BE A CERTIFIED CLINICAL DOCUMENTATION PRINCIPLE TRAINER FROM EPIC.Clinical Documentation Principal Trainer responsible for developing and delivering EHR training, supporting providers, and optimizing documentation workflows. Partners with informatics and IT to improve efficiency, compliance, and patient care outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Training Development & Delivery Design, build, and maintain training curriculum for clinical documentation workflows (e.g., provider documentation, templates, SmartTools)Deliver instructor-led, virtual, and at-the-elbow training to providers and clinical staffDevelop training materials including manuals, eLearning modules, quick reference guides, and simulationsEnsure training content aligns with system updates, regulatory requirements, and organizational standardsEHR & Workflow Expertise Serve as a subject matter expert in clinical documentation workflows within the EHR (Epic preferred)Collaborate with application analysts and informatics teams to understand system design and changesTranslate technical build into end-user training contentSupport go-live readiness activities and command center operationsOptimization & Continuous Improvement Identify documentation improvement opportunities through feedback, metrics, and workflow analysisPartner with Clinical Informatics to support optimization initiatives and standardization effortsUpdate training materials and strategies based on system enhancements and user needsPromote best practices for accurate, efficient, and compliant documentationSkills:Epic-certified as Principal Trainer in Clinical DocumentationAbility to work without close supervision, taking ownership of work activities, & ensuring training sessions & materials meet Epic's standardsExperience with clinical documentation improvement (CDI) practicesFamiliarity with regulatory and compliance standards (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS)Experience supporting large-scale EHR implementations or upgradesCertified in developing the Epic training environments.“We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
