More information is available at www.epivantage.com or by contacting recruitment@epivantage.com.Role Description The Epidemiology Research Assistant will support epidemiologic studies and data-driven projects as part of the Epivantage team. This full-time, on-site role is based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with study design and protocol implementation, conducting literature reviews, and supporting data collection and data management activities. The role involves performing basic data cleaning and preliminary analyses, contributing to the preparation of reports, presentations, and manuscripts, and maintaining accurate documentation of research procedures. The Research Assistant will collaborate with senior epidemiologists, coordinate with laboratory or clinical partners as needed, and help ensure research activities comply with ethical and regulatory standards.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong analytical skills and data analysis capabilities to interpret epidemiological data and support quantitative assessments.Candidates should possess solid research skills, including literature review, study support, and data collection methods in epidemiology.Candidates should possess effective communication skills for clear written and oral reporting.Bachelor’s degree in epidemiology, public health, biostatistics, biomedical sciences, or a related field a minimum requirement; a Master’s degree in epidemiology, public health, biostatistics, an advantage.Familiarity with statistical software (e.g., R, Stata, SPSS) and spreadsheet tools (e.g., Excel) is highly beneficial.Attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a structured, deadline-driven environment.
