We support flexible working arrangements wherever possible.Position SummaryThe Equipment Engineer is responsible for designing, maintaining, and improving packaging machinery and equipment to ensure they operate efficiently, reliably, and safely. This role plays a vital role in driving productivity and upholding safety standards across the organization.ResponsibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesDesign & Development – Support the design and development of mechanical and electronic equipment to meet specifications and safety standards.Maintenance & Troubleshooting – Perform regular maintenance, diagnose issues, and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime.Testing & Validation – Conduct tests on new and existing equipment to validate performance and compliance with industry and company standards.Documentation – Maintain accurate records of equipment specifications, maintenance activities, and compliance documentation.Collaboration – Work closely with engineers, technicians, and stakeholders to coordinate projects and drive improvements.Project Management – Oversee projects, manage budgets, and ensure timely delivery within scope.Compliance & Safety – Ensure all equipment and processes comply with safety regulations and quality standards.Additional ResponsibilitiesCustomise equipment based on customer specifications and feedback.Develop and deliver training programmes on equipment operation and safety.Use data analysis tools to monitor performance and identify improvement areas.What we are looking forBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field5+ years of experience in equipment engineering or a related roleExperience in a manufacturing or industrial settingStrong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical controlsProficiency in CAD software and equipment maintenance toolsKnowledge of automation and control systemsFamiliarity with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma)Proficiency in data analysis and statistical toolsStrong project management skillsExcellent problem-solving abilities — able to identify and resolve equipment issues effectivelyStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a teamAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentAdvanced understanding of safety protocols and regulatory requirementsCome join us!
