Equipment Technician

Role Description The Equipment Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Riyadh, responsible for ensuring all gym equipment is safe, functional, and well-maintained. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine inspections, conducting preventive maintenance, and carrying out repairs on a wide range of fitness and heavy equipment. The role involves diagnosing technical issues, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults, and coordinating with vendors or service providers when needed. The Equipment Technician will document maintenance activities, maintain inventory of spare parts and tools, and support the operations team in planning equipment upgrades or replacements. This position also requires clear communication with management, trainers, and members to address equipment-related concerns promptly and professionally.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance, with experience maintaining fitness or heavy equipment.Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting skills, including the ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and basic electrical issues efficiently.Candidates should possess experience working with Heavy Equipment, including safe handling, installation, and setup of gym machinery.Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, report technical issues, and explain maintenance needs clearly.Relevant technical diploma or certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is preferred.Previous experience as an equipment technician, maintenance technician, or similar role in a fitness, sports, or industrial environment is an advantage.Ability to follow safety procedures, read technical manuals, and use diagnostic tools and hand tools proficiently.Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings if required.
