Candidates coming exclusively from private equity, family offices, asset management, valuation consultancies or general corporate finance will not be considered unless they also have relevant sell-side equity research experience.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct detailed equity and company research covering publicly listed companies.Perform industry, sector and market analysis.Analyse financial statements, company performance, operational drivers and key financial metrics.Build and maintain detailed financial models, forecasts and valuation models.Independently perform DCF and comparable-company valuations.Calculate target prices and assess potential investment upside or downside.Prepare equity research reports, initiation-of-coverage reports, earnings updates and investment recommendations.Support the preparation of Buy, Hold or Sell recommendations.Track market developments, economic trends, sector news, company announcements and earnings releases.Present investment findings and recommendations for internal and external client use.Assist with investment banking and corporate-finance transactions when required.Perform company and sector screening to identify potential investment opportunities.Support senior team members with research, due diligence and investor materials.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.2–3 years of relevant experience in sell-side equity research.Experience gained within a securities brokerage, broker-dealer, investment bank or sell-side research firm.Demonstrated experience covering publicly listed companies.Hands-on experience preparing client-facing equity research reports, target prices and investment recommendations.Proven ability to build a complete DCF model independently, including:Financial forecastingFree cash flowWACCTerminal value and terminal-growth rateEnterprise value to equity valueNet-debt adjustmentsSensitivity analysisStrong knowledge of comparable-company valuation and equity-market analysis.Strong understanding of financial statements and company analysis.Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills.Experience with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Refinitiv or similar financial databases is preferred.Excellent analytical, research, written and verbal communication skills.
