Equity Analyst - Global Financials

We are working with an established investment management firm, headquartered in London, who are seeking an experienced Global Financials Equity Analyst to join their long-only global equities team.This is an opportunity to take ownership of sector research, generating differentiated investment ideas across global banking, insurance, and diversified financials. Key ResponsibilitiesConduct in-depth fundamental research and financial modelling to identify compelling long-term investment opportunities.Develop differentiated investment recommendations and present findings to portfolio managers.Build and maintain complex financials models.Lead on specialist analysis of financial sector dynamics, regulation, valuation and emerging technologies.Contribute to portfolio construction, thematic research and stewardship activities.Explore the use of AI and alternative data to enhance investment research.Candidate Requirements7–10+ years' equity research experience analysing banks, insurance and/or diversified financials companies on the buy side or sell side.Strong financial modelling, valuation and sector analysis capabilities.Proven ability to generate differentiated investment ideas and challenge consensus.Interest in thematic investing.Intellectual curiosity and ability to demonstrate differentiated thinking. Excellent communication skills and experience presenting investment recommendations.Proficiency in Bloomberg, FactSet or Capital IQCFA qualification preferred.An interest in applying AI and technology to investment research.This role will suit an intellectually curious investor with strong commercial judgement and a long-term mindset, seeking to influence investment decisions within a collaborative, research-led environment.Please get in touch for more details.
