Equity Research Analyst – Technology, Fintech and Consumer Tech (Junior–Mid Level)Location: Remote / U.S.-based preferredCompensation: $100,000 – $150,000 (based on experience)Zacks Investment Research is seeking a highly motivated Equity Research Analyst to join our growing paid research division, covering small- and micro-cap companies in technology, fintech, and consumer tech. The division supports a diverse base of 110 institutional and corporate clients.This role is ideal for a junior to mid-level analyst with strong financial modeling skills, intellectual curiosity, and a passion for equity markets, particularly small- and micro-cap companies in software, fintech, AI and data analytics, consumer and entertainment technology, IoT, and related industries.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct fundamental equity research on an assigned coverage list, including financial modeling and valuation (DCF, comparables, and multiples-based analysis)Write clear, concise initiation reports, company updates, and event-driven notesAnalyze operating metrics and unit economics, including recurring revenue, retention, customer acquisition costs, and transaction volumesMonitor technology trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory developments affecting covered companiesParticipate in management calls, industry research, and client interactionsWork closely with senior analysts on sector research and new coverage

Qualifications

1–5 years of equity research, investment banking, or related experienceExperience in the technology, fintech, or consumer tech sectorsStrong accounting and financial modeling skillsExcellent written and verbal communicationExperience or interest in small/micro-cap equities is a plus
