Our mission is building rugged, reliable valves for heavy industry with quality, integrity, service, and speed.We are looking for an Software Admin & Business Operations Intern to support our MSFT Business Central systems, basic IT needs, build and maintain Power BI reports, troubleshoot Excel/Power Query, Smartsheet and Microsoft 365,and office administration. This role will work with employees and outside support providers to troubleshoot routine issues, maintain accurate records, and support ERP transitions and process improvements. Training will be provided on company systems and procedures.This is a full-time, or part-time, in-person role at our Long Island City, Queens, NY office. The work site location is at Williams Valve, located at 3850 Review Avenue Long Island City, NY 11101.Key Responsibilities Include:Support ERP transitions and implementation activities, including internal capabilities, system testing, user support, and documenting updated procedures.Help reduce dependency on managers for routine IT, ERP, and administrative follow-upProvide first-line troubleshooting for ERP system, Power BI and Excel Power query issues, other business software.Support the use and management of Smartsheet, including maintaining trackers, updating workflows, and assisting employees with routine questions and issues.Receive and log employee IT and business system requests, tracking their status and next steps.Assist employees with basic computer, software, and access issues, escalating more complex problems to the appropriate support provider.Support data analytics using Excel and other reporting tools to identify trends, track operational performance, and support process improvements.Coordinate with IT and ERP support providers to help resolve outstanding requests.Assist with updates and tracking ticket for user issues around Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as trained.Maintain System trackers, reports, user lists, and equipment records.Assist with data entry and verify information for accuracy and completeness.Prepare clear user instructions and organize shared files and system documentation.Support routine office administration, including recordkeeping, supply requests, and communication with vendors.Provide additional support to Operations and Logistics projects as needed.Keep management informed of progress, unresolved issues, and support needs, improving issue tracking, documentation, and closureRequired Qualifications:Strong working knowledge of MSFT Product and excel, including formulas, data organization, filtering, lookups, and basic data analysis.Familiarity with Power BI Power Query and an understanding of how data is imported, transformed, and refreshed.Basic computer troubleshooting skills and an interest in learning business software with ability to investigate problems before escalatingStrong organization, attention to detail, self-motivated and reliable follow-through.Clear written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage assigned tasks, ask questions, and recognize when an issue requires additional support.Ability to handle confidential company information appropriately.Technical Requirements:Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field. Relevant coursework or practical experience will also be considered.Working knowledge of Power Query, including the ability to review and troubleshoot basic queries, data transformations, connections, and refresh errors.Familiarity with Power BI, including basic reports, data models, data refreshes, and troubleshooting common reporting or data issues.Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or another ERP system.Experience with Smartsheet, support ticketing, or digital workflows.Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or office environment.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for data manipulation, organizing information, and building basic analytics reporting.Basic understanding of computer hardware, software installation, and troubleshooting common user issues.Ability to learn and support business systems, including Smartsheet and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.Familiarity with ERP systems, workflow tools, or technical support ticketing is a plus.Williams Valve is an equal-opportunity employer.
