Ethraa Trainee - Emiratization

The Ethraa Trainee role is to support the Internal Shari’ah Control functions in carrying out its duties and responsibilities.Key responsibilities:ISSC Secretariat Function assists with the following:Preparing and organizing the meetings of the ISSC,Preparing and drafting the minutes of the meetings,Communicating the resolutions to the internal Shari’ah control division and internal Shari’ah audit division in addition to other divisions and sections of the Bank,Following up with resolution implementation as per the follow-up list required by ISSC,Filing fatwas and resolutions, andFollow-up administrative matters related to ISSC.Shari’ah Consultations Function assists in providing consultation based on the ISSC’s fatwas and resolutions in regard to:Contracts and documents and other aspects related to the Bank’s financial products and services, including products manuals, policies, internal procedures,Bank’s Shari’ah related inquiries and issues,Promotional / advertising materials and publications,Customers complaints (related to the compliance with Islamic Shari’ah), andOther Shari’ah issues faced by the Bank especially the ones related to structuring and products.Shari’ah Research & Development Function assists with the following:Conducting research for related Shari’ah and procedural issues requested by ISSC,Contributing, with other relevant sections in the Bank, to the development of products and formulation of policies, procedures, contracts, andOther areas of development in Banks.Shari’ah Compliance Function assists in continuously monitoring compliance of Bank’s businesses and activities with resolutions, fatwas, regulations, standards, which are issued by the HSA.Shari’ah Training Function assists in conducting training for IFI’s staff on those aspects of their duties related to IFI’s compliance with Islamic Shari’ah.Job Requirements:University degree in Islamic Shari’ah, or relevant specializations.Professional certificate from the Accounting and Auditing Organization for IFIs (AAOIFI) is a plus.Strong command of English and Arabic (reading, writing and speaking).
