ETL Tester (5+ years)

Senior ETL Tester Location: Kochi, Kerala Experience: 5-8 Years Role Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead ETL Tester to manage and guide our testing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ETL processes, database testing, and team leadership. This role involves overseeing the testing lifecycle, ensuring the quality of ETL pipelines, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet project goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Management: o Lead, mentor, and manage a team of ETL testers. o Allocate tasks and ensure on-time delivery of high-quality testing outcomes. o Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs for team members. 2. Testing Strategy and Planning: o Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies and plans for ETL processes. o Identify and prioritize test cases to optimize testing efforts. o Ensure adherence to best practices, standards, and guidelines. 3. ETL Testing: o Perform thorough testing of ETL processes, including data extraction, transformation, and loading. o Validate data integrity, accuracy, and completeness across multiple data sources and targets. o Automate repetitive testing tasks and improve testing efficiency. 4. Collaboration and Coordination: o Work closely with business analysts, developers, and data architects to understand data requirements and mappings. o Coordinate with project managers to meet deadlines and resolve issues proactively. o Provide regular updates and reports on testing progress, risks, and mitigation strategies. 5. Defect Management: o Identify, document, and track defects in the defect tracking tool. o Collaborate with developers to resolve defects and validate fixes. Required Skills and Experience:

• 5-7 years of experience in ETL and data warehouse testing.
• Strong expertise in SQL and database testing, with the ability to write complex queries.
• Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS) and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• ETL testing with a focus on Snowflake and Azure Synapse will be a added advantage
• Knowledge of data quality and validation techniques.
• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a team of testers.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
