Based in beautiful Santa Monica, with offices in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, and Hong Kong, we play every day by creating toys and costumes that delight and transform the lives of children.We work with the best and biggest entertainment companies in the business: Disney, Warner Brothers, Nickelodeon, Nintendo, SEGA and more, with our products on shelves around the world.Main purpose of the roleThis role is responsible for all our European debtor ledgers and ensuring that customer credit limits are controlled.Key duties and responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)Ensure customers pay within agreed payment terms; contacting customers by phone and emailObtain remittance advices to support customer receiptsInvestigate and resolve customer deductionsSend copies of invoices or statements as requested by customerForecast customer receipts for cash flow Work with other departments to ensure swift resolution of customer queriesCreate and maintain positive working relationships with each customerCheck and release orders for customers that have reached their credit limitEnsure appropriate credit limits set for each customerMonitor the bank to release cash in advance ordersAssist with the credit insurance annual renewal processMaintain customer master data records Generate reports and analysis to assist with compliance of the company credit insurance policyGenerate monthly reports and analysis to show the status of overdue debt and collectionsAssist with annual auditsIdentify improvements to the accounts receivable processKey relationshipsUS credit control teamCustomer Accounts Payable (AP) EMEA sales teamKey performance indicatorsEnsuring a customer’s aged debt does not exceed 30+ days overdue and the debtor ledger does not have a balance of more than 10% past due date at any given time. Managing credit risk and ensuring customers do not exceed their limits.Projecting cash in for the coming 2-month period, forecasting on a weekly basis with 15% accuracy. Education and experience Previous experience working within a Finance team, preferably Credit ControlCompetent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the use of functions VLOOKUP and pivot table Behavioural capabilities Strong organisational skills and time managementExcellent communication style; able to build positive relationships at all levelsStrong sense of urgency about solving problems and getting work done.
