CLIENT: Leading Automobile CompanyDESIGNATION: EV – Technical AdvisorLOCATION: Sri LankaPACKAGE: Open to discussionOVERVIEWThe company is seeking a technically knowledgeable and customer-oriented EV Technical Advisor to support electric vehicle service operations and provide technical guidance to customers. The ideal candidate should have an automotive engineering background, strong communication skills, and the ability to explain technical issues clearly to customers while coordinating with the service team.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProvide technical guidance and support to customers regarding electric vehicles, their features, operation, and maintenance.Explain technical issues, vehicle diagnostics, and recommended solutions to customers in a clear and professional manner.Coordinate with the Service Manager and technical team to resolve customer concerns.Assist in diagnosing vehicle-related technical issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.Support customers with EV functionality, charging systems, battery performance, and general vehicle maintenance queries.Ensure a positive customer experience throughout the service process.Liaise with technicians to communicate customer concerns and explain technical findings.Maintain accurate records of customer complaints, technical issues, and resolutions.PRE-REQUISITESA degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field.Experience in the automotive industry, preferably in technical support, vehicle servicing, or after-sales service.Knowledge of electric vehicles, automotive systems, diagnostics, and maintenance.Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to communicate technical information confidently to non-technical customers.Strong customer-handling, problem-solving, and coordination skills.Candidates with a purely technical background must also demonstrate strong customer-facing and communication abilities.
