Evaluation and Data Analyst (Social Sciences and Public Health)

We are seeking an Evaluation and Data Analyst, Research Assistant III, to support research and evaluation projects focused on national service, public health, and other mission-driven initiatives. This position supports data collection activities, prepares and organizes datasets, assists with data analysis, develops visualizations and reports, and contributes to high-quality client deliverables. This position is well suited for candidates with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and an interest in applied research and program evaluation.This is a hybrid position requiring at least two days per week onsite at either our San Mateo, CA or North Bethesda, MD office.*****Essential Job FunctionsData Collection and Survey SupportSupport survey administration and participant tracking activities.Assist with developing and testing online surveys and data collection tools.Help monitor response rates and data collection progress.Organize and maintain study documentation, data dictionaries, and tracking files.Assist with participant recruitment and communications as needed.Data Management and Quality AssuranceClean, organize, and prepare datasets for analysis.Conduct routine data quality checks and identify inconsistencies.Merge, format, label, and archive datasets according to project protocols.Maintain documentation of data processing activities.Data Analysis and VisualizationConduct descriptive statistical analyses under guidance from senior staff.Support quantitative analyses using statistical software such as SAS, R, Python, or Stata.Create tables, charts, dashboards, and other visualizations in Excel and Power BI to communicate findings.Assist with interpretation of results and preparation of analytic summaries.Reporting and Research SupportConduct literature reviews and summarize research findings.Assist in preparing reports, presentations, briefs, and client-ready materials.Compile data, references, and supporting materials for project deliverables.Review documents for accuracy, consistency, and formatting.EducationMINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Sociology, Community Psychology, Statistics, Social Sciences, Statistics or a similar field Experience2 years of experience comprising of 1 year of focus research experience conducting quantitative survey researchTechnical SkillsMicrosoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Access)Experience with SAS, R, or other statistical packagesExperience with Python and SQLFamiliarity with survey platforms (e.g., Alchemer, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey).
