With more than 500 team members in five countries, Colony continues to expand its regional presence and deliver innovative experiential marketing solutions.Role DescriptionThe Event Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in WP Kuala Lumpur. This position is responsible for coordinating and executing events from concept through to completion, including planning timelines, managing logistics, and liaising with clients, vendors, and internal teams. The Event Executive will support creative ideation, prepare proposals and presentations, and assist in developing event concepts that align with brand and campaign objectives. Daily tasks include preparing documentation, handling budgets and cost estimates, overseeing on-ground setup and breakdown, and ensuring events run smoothly and meet quality standards. The role also involves post-event reporting, performance analysis, and continuous improvement of event processes and experiences.QualificationsStrong event planning and coordination skills, including experience managing timelines, logistics, and stakeholder communication.Ability to contribute to creative concepts and experiential ideas, with an interest in branding, marketing activations, and audience engagement.Competence in documentation, budgeting, and basic project management, including preparing proposals, reports, and cost estimates.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, vendors, and cross-functional internal teams.High level of organization and attention to detail, with the capacity to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by event schedules, and to be hands-on during on-site event operations.Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office or Google Workspace); familiarity with event or project management tools is an advantage.Diploma or degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; relevant experience in events or experiential marketing is preferred.Important RequirementThis role involves working at events where alcohol is served, including duties that may require the handling and serving of alcoholic beverages.Candidates should be comfortable with and able to perform these duties as part of the role.
