The Events Manager is the person who turns that ambition into a live event that runs to the same premium standard in every city, every weekend.THE OPPORTUNITYOur calendar is doubling. More events, more markets, more weekends where events run back to back or in parallel. That only works if every event is delivered to the same standard, whoever is on site.The Events Manager owns the planning and delivery of their assigned ATHX events across Europe, from venue confirmation to post-event review. You deliver each event to the ATHX Event Playbook, within budget and on time. Every athlete and spectator gets the same ATHX experience in every city.The role sits within Operations and works closely with the Transport & Logistics function, Finance and our on-site coordinators. Flexibility is essential as priorities evolve with the event calendar and market expansion.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESEvent Planning & DeliveryOwn the end-to-end planning and delivery of your assigned ATHX events, from venue confirmation through build, show day and de-rig to post-event close.Manage venue relationships, local suppliers and contractors for each event, working within the frameworks agreed by Operations leadership.Deliver every event to the ATHX Event Playbook and Run of Show. After each event, report on costs, incidents and athlete feedback.Budget & Cost ControlDeliver each event within the approved budget. Track costs against plan, keep kit, crew and cost data complete and accurate in our planning system and deliver the post-event reconciliation.On-Site Leadership & LogisticsLead the on-site team of crew, contractors, volunteers and event staff. Work closely with the Event Build Coordinator and the Volunteer Programme Coordinator. Solve problems on site in real time.Coordinate transport and logistics for your events with the Transport & Logistics function, including load-in, load-out and local sub-hire from the approved equipment list.Health & SafetyEnsure every event meets health & safety requirements: risk assessments, crowd management plans, contractor safety and local regulations. Maintain contingency plans for operational risks.Continuous ImprovementDrive continuous improvement of event delivery. Review every event with your team, identify what to fix and implement the changes at the next event. Make sure every improvement is captured in the Playbook.WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOREssentialCitizenship of, or the right to work within, an EU member state.Fluent professional and business English, written and spoken.Fluency in at least one further European language, e.g. German, French or Spanish.5+ years of experience delivering large-scale live events as the accountable event or operations manager, ideally in sports, fitness or mass participation.Proven ownership of event budgets and supplier relationships, including events outside your home country.Working knowledge of event health & safety: risk assessments, crowd management and contractor management.Able to lead crews, contractors and volunteers under time pressure. Calm, decisive and hands-on during build and show day.Works to a defined process and keeps data accurate. Comfortable running events through an equipment and crew planning system.Able and willing to travel throughout Europe, including weekends and evenings during event weeks.DesirableA recognised health & safety qualification, e.g. IOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH or equivalent.First Aid trained.Experience with equipment, crew and project planning software for live events.Background in functional fitness, hybrid fitness or endurance events.WHAT WE OFFEROwnership of your events end to end, from venue confirmation to post-event review.A role at the heart of a brand scaling from 20 events in 2026 to 40+ globally in 2027.A competitive salary and package commensurate with experience.The chance to deliver world-class events across Europe.An ambitious operations team to work within, reporting directly to the Head of Event Experience.The opportunity to grow with a brand that is scaling fast and going global.
