We believe that success starts with a sound team and that an inclusive and diverse workplace moves us all forward.WHAT YOU WILL DO:The Event Production Technician plays a critical hands-on role in the technical design, setup, execution, and support of onsite, hybrid, and virtual events for an established multinational pharmaceutical and biotechnology company.This role is responsible for:Applying technical expertise and creative problem-solving to support the execution of live, hybrid, and virtual events in alignment with the creative and operational vision.Operating, configuring, and maintaining video, audio, lighting, streaming, and control room systems to ensure high-quality event delivery.Supporting real-time production decisions during live events, including making adjustments to maintain broadcast quality and operational stability.Collaborating closely with production teams and clients to ensure seamless execution across physical and virtual event environments.Contributing to the maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous optimization of production facilities, control rooms, and events.This role will also be required to support virtual event production and live meeting execution in a producer capacity, including managing event flow, platform operations, speaker coordination, and real-time show direction depending on event scope and complexity.DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES: Day-to-Day Responsibilities:Production Meeting Support:Provide technical consultation and support for live, hybrid, and virtual events across platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom.Manage event production, show flow, speaker coordination, rehearsals, technical checks, and live event execution.Ensure quality control, compliance with production standards, and post-event reviews to drive continuous improvement.Support post-production activities, including editing and delivery of recorded content.Technical Events:Configure, test, and operate control rooms and production systems for live event delivery.Manage technical workflows including audio, video, graphics, streaming, encoding, playback, and virtual production platforms.Troubleshoot and optimize production technologies, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure operational readiness.Provide real-time technical support during events and assist with post-production asset creation.Collaboration & Planning:Partner with event teams and stakeholders to align technical requirements, schedules, and production plans.Participate in production meetings, workflow evaluations, and technical reviews to enhance event delivery and operational efficiency.WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FORMust-have skills & job qualifications5+ years of experience in live event production, broadcast, video production, or related technical environments, including 3+ years supporting onsite, virtual, and hybrid events.Strong hands-on experience with studio and control room operations, including video switchers, audio consoles, robotic cameras, and playback systems.Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and virtual production environments.Experience producing and supporting virtual/hybrid events, including show flow management, speaker coordination, and live event operations.Strong understanding of broadcast workflows, signal flow, and live event execution, with the ability to troubleshoot and make real-time decisions under pressure.Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative, customer-focused approach.Proven ability to deliver high-quality results in fast-paced environments while maintaining white-glove service standards.Nice-to-Have Skills:Experience with TriCaster or similar production switchers.Knowledge of Yamaha, Dante, Shure, and professional intercom systems.Familiarity with streaming/encoding infrastructure, Adder KVM systems, and production routing environments.Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or other post-production tools.Background in video production, communications technology, or a related field.OTHER REQUIREMENTSTravel is required based on requirements and location of productions and service needs including meetings at client offices and AVI-SPLWHY YOU’LL LIKE WORKING HERE:We offer a competitive package and a balanced work-life culture;Company retirement supplementAdditional medical benefits budget30 days vacationStore discounts through online platformEnjoyable and dynamic company cultureTraining and professional development opportunitiesMORE ABOUT USAVI-SPL is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
