Dare to join us!Role Description Dex Squared Hospitality is looking for an experienced Executive Chef to lead the culinary operations of the prestigious World Heart Hotel in Baghdad, Iraq. This full-time, on-site role is a unique opportunity to play a key role in a landmark property featuring 350 rooms and suites, a convention center and four distinct F&B concepts.Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all culinary operations across the hotel
• Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and service standards
• Develop menus and culinary concepts aligned with market demand
• Monitor food costs, purchasing, inventory, wastage, and kitchen productivity
• Ensure full compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
• Recruit, train, supervise, and develop the culinary team
• Work closely with the Food and Beverage and hotel management teams
• Support banquet, event, and high-volume catering operations
• Establish effective kitchen procedures, controls, and performance standardsBuild strong relationships with local suppliers and ensure product qualityQualifications
• Proven experience as an Executive Chef in a comparable hotel operation
• Strong experience across restaurants, banqueting, and high-volume food production
• Strong knowledge of food costing, budgeting, inventory control, and operational KPIs
• Hands-on leadership style with strong team-management capabilities
• Ability to maintain quality and consistency while managing costs effectively
• Strong knowledge of international and Middle Eastern cuisines
• Previous experience in Iraq or the Middle East is an advantage
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Fluency in English is required; Arabic is preferred
