Its vision is for communities to live healthy lives free from stigma and discrimination. The Northern Territory AIDS and Hepatitis Council is seeking a leader with a genuine commitment to the Northern Territory. The role is based in Darwin and involves travel across the NT. Relocation support is available. Your new role The Northern Territory AIDS and Hepatitis Council is seeking a values-led Executive Director to guide its next chapter of impact, sustainability and growth. Reporting to the Board, you will lead The Northern Territory AIDS and Hepatitis Council's strategy, services, people and performance. Key priorities include: Delivering the 2024-2029 Strategic PlanStrengthening accessible, culturally safe and community-informed servicesLeading organisational performance, finance, governance and riskBuilding an inclusive, capable and values-aligned workforceDeepening relationships with communities, government, funders and sector partnersAdvancing advocacy and diversifying fundingWhat you'll need to succeed You are an experienced executive who combines strategic capability with authentic, collaborative leadership. You will bring: Senior leadership experience in health, community services, government or the for-purpose sectorExperience working with a Board and leading organisational performanceStrong operational, financial, governance and people leadershipCredibility with government, funders and diverse communitiesCommitment to peer-led practice, cultural safety, harm reduction and health equityA relevant tertiary qualificationKnowledge of HIV, viral hepatitis, sexually transmissible infections or sexual health will be highly regarded. Candidates with relevant lived or living experience or have deep experience working alongside The Northern Territory AIDS and Hepatitis Council's priority communities are encouraged to apply.
