Avoca Search has been exclusively retained by Quincy Medical Group to identify an accomplished healthcare executive to serve as Executive Director of Primary Care. The Executive Director will provide strategic and operational leadership for one of the organization’s largest and most impactful service lines.Located in Quincy, Illinois, Quincy Medical Group has served the communities of Illinois, Missouri and Iowa for over 90 years. Founded in 1937, this independent, physician-led practice has grown to more than 170 providers representing 35 specialties across 19 locations and serves more than 325,000 patients throughout the tri-state region. Quincy Medical Group continues to be a preferred provider of choice, delivering high-quality healthcare to the communities it serves.Working in partnership with executive and physician leadership, the Executive Director will oversee multiple primary care departments and leadership teams while helping to shape the future of care delivery across Quincy Medical Group. The Executive Director will advance initiatives focused on patient access, clinical quality, operational performance, workforce engagement, financial stewardship, and overall patient experience. This leader will analyze operational and financial data to inform strategic decision-making, improve organizational performance, and advance a culture of accountability, collaboration, employee engagement, and continuous improvement.The successful candidate will be a collaborative, strategic, and results-oriented leader who is comfortable operating in a complex, physician-led healthcare environment. This individual will have the ability to lead through others, translate organizational strategy into measurable operational outcomes, build strong relationships with physicians and executive partners, and develop leaders capable of sustaining long-term performance and growth. The Executive Director will bring strong strategic planning, financial, communication, relationship building and change management capabilities, together with the ability to align people and resources around organizational priorities. Success will require a leader who can balance operational excellence with clinical quality, patient access, workforce engagement, and financial stewardship while maintaining a clear focus on patient experience.Ideal candidates will possess a master’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, public health, nursing, or related field along with progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, primary care, ambulatory care, or a multispecialty medical group environment. Candidates will have demonstrated experience leading complex healthcare operations across multiple departments, clinics, or service lines, as well as a proven record of developing senior leaders and high-performing management teams.
