Established in 2015, the Foundation grew from its founders’ belief in philanthropy’s power to help shape the future of patient care. Although the Horizon Health Foundation and Horizon Health are separate legal entities, they share a unified purpose: to provide extraordinary healthcare to Edgar County and surrounding communities in Illinois, as well as to Vigo County and Terre Haute, Indiana. Today, the Foundation has the opportunity to broaden community engagement and philanthropic support for a health system whose reach and ambitions continue to grow to better serve its communities.Horizon Health has retained Freeman Philanthropic Services, LLC to help recruit an Executive Director for the Horizon Health Foundation. Working closely with the Foundation Board of Directors and Horizon Health President and CEO Jay Carmichael, the Executive Director will lead the Foundation’s fundraising program, strengthen donor and community relationships, and align philanthropic support with Horizon Health’s strategic and capital priorities.The successful Executive Director will be an experienced development professional with a proven track record in annual giving, major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, grants, events, and planned giving. The Executive Director will also be an effective relationship builder who can collaborate with hospital and Foundation leadership, donors, volunteers, physicians, staff, and community partners to increase philanthropic support for Horizon Health.The compensation range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000, commensurate with the successful candidate’s background and experience.Horizon Health Foundation has retained Freeman Philanthropic Services, LLC to facilitate this executive recruitment.
