Executive Director – Logistics

We are seeking an experienced Executive Director – Logistics to lead and grow its logistics business. The role will have broad responsibility for business strategy, commercial performance, operations, customer development and team leadership.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree required; postgraduate qualification preferred.15 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding or a related industry.At least 5 years in a senior leadership role with significant commercial and P&L responsibility.Proven track record of building, transforming or scaling a logistics business.Strong commercial background with experience in business development, customer acquisition and strategic partnerships.Broad knowledge of freight and logistics operations, ideally across multiple modes and markets.Demonstrated ability to deliver revenue, profitability and growth targets.Experience leading and developing large, multicultural teams.Strong strategic thinking, commercial acumen and execution capability.Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management and communication skills.Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate effectively in a growth and transformation environment.Fluent English required; Arabic is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute the business strategy and growth plan for the logistics business.Lead commercial development across key markets, customers and industry sectors.Build and manage strategic relationships with customers, logistics partners, carriers and other key stakeholders.Drive revenue, profitability, customer growth and overall P&L performance.Develop and optimize logistics products and solutions across relevant modes and services.Establish efficient operational processes, service standards and performance KPIs.Identify new market, customer and partnership opportunities to accelerate growth.Lead the development of a high-performing organization, including recruitment, capability building and succession planning.Ensure strong governance across compliance, risk, quality, safety and operational performance.Drive the use of technology and digital solutions to improve efficiency and customer experience.Represent the organization with key customers, partners, regulators and industry stakeholders.Work closely with senior leadership and corporate functions to deliver strategic objectives.
