EXAM SECURITY OFFICERNewly Created Executive Leadership RoleI’m leading the search for a Exam Security Officer for a global organization that provides the technology, infrastructure and expertise behind high-stakes assessment and credentialing programs across 180 countries.This newly created role is best described as a CISO for exam integrity—with a hacker’s point of view.Reporting to the senior executive leading the professional assessment business and partnering closely with the enterprise CISO, this leader will protect the integrity of exam products, test technology, candidate identity and confidential client content while building next-generation defenses against fraud, deepfakes, proxy testing, AI-enabled cheating and content theft.THE LEADERSHIP PROFILEThe ideal candidate thinks like an attacker, builds like an entrepreneur and operates with the discipline of a world-class security executive.This person will be energized by the opportunity to create something from the ground up: strategy, operating model, technology roadmap, governance, talent and external market position.They will understand that exam fraud has real victims—the qualified professionals whose credentials are devalued, the organizations relying on those credentials and the public those professionals may ultimately serve.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and own the enterprise-wide exam security strategy across technology, people, process, governance and operations.
• Build a proactive threat-intelligence and counter-fraud capability focused on emerging attack vectors, organized cheating networks and AI-enabled threats.
• Establish and lead a dedicated Exam Security Operations Center responsible for continuous monitoring, incident triage, investigations and client-requested evidence review.
• Advance data forensics and behavioral analytics from reactive anomaly detection to predictive fraud identification.
• Lead investigations into proxy-testing rings, content theft and coordinated misconduct, partnering with legal counsel, regulators and law enforcement when appropriate.
• Establish red-team and adversarial-testing programs across online and in-center exam environments.
• Own candidate identity strategy, including biometrics, liveness detection, deepfake-resistant authentication and zero-trust identity controls.
• Govern the responsible use of AI across proctoring, identity verification, investigations and security analytics.
• Embed security by design into new exam products, delivery technologies, AI capabilities and global expansion initiatives.
• Protect confidential exam content across its complete chain of custody—from secure receipt and live delivery through post-exam archival.
• Serve as the senior external authority on exam security with clients, industry organizations, regulators and other key stakeholders.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
• 15+ years of progressive cybersecurity leadership experience, including experience at or approaching the CISO level within a complex, global organization.
• Demonstrated success building and scaling security programs—not simply inheriting or maintaining established functions.
• Strong experience in threat intelligence, adversarial security, fraud prevention, incident response, investigations or related disciplines.
• Deep technical fluency across identity and authentication, cyber threat intelligence, data forensics and AI/ML security.
• Experience operating in a highly regulated industry—such as financial services, healthcare, government or professional services—where security failures carry significant legal, reputational or public-safety consequences.
• Experience leading large, cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams and vendor ecosystems.
• Board and executive-level communication skills, with the ability to translate complex threats into clear business risks, investment priorities and strategic decisions.
• The leadership presence to engage credibly with highly technical teams, major clients, regulators, law enforcement and senior enterprise stakeholders.PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
• Experience with biometric identity systems, liveness verification, synthetic identity defense or deepfake detection at scale.
• Background in digital forensics, investigations, intelligence, fraud disruption or law-enforcement liaison.
• Experience developing responsible AI policies, AI governance frameworks or adversarial machine-learning defenses.
• Exposure to assessment, credentialing, education technology or other environments involving high-value intellectual property and identity-sensitive transactions.
