At ADCB, we nurture a diverse, inclusive community where every voice is valued.About the business area, Group Compliance & Governance:Compliance is an independent function at ADCB which takes an active approach to risk management and monitoring, ensuring the Bank complies with applicable laws, regulations, rules and market standards. The Group creates, implements and monitors policies and procedures designed to prevent or detect financial crime and any compliance breaches of the Bank, its employees and clients. It also monitors and measures the impact of conduct risk and compliance on the Bank’s risk appetite and profile.In this role, your key responsibilities include:Provide regulatory and compliance advisory support across the Bank, with a strong focus on Corporate & Investment Banking, ensuring all requirements of the UAE Central Bank (CBUAE) are met.Review and analyse new products and services, policies, procedures, and client-facing documentation. Provide clear written feedback and advice to support accurate approvals and regulatory compliance.Conduct gap analysis on new or amended laws and regulations, interpret their impact, and lead the implementation of necessary changes across the Bank, subsidiaries, and branches.Manage the Bank’s breach reporting process, including mailbox oversight, logging, escalation, maintaining registers, and reporting significant breaches to the CBUAE.Oversee the Consumer Protection and Market Conduct framework, escalating serious deviations and recommending corrective actions.Ensure the Bank’s outsourcing framework remains fully aligned with CBUAE requirements.Deliver the insider trading programme across the Bank and subsidiaries, maintaining breach registers and reporting material issues to regulators.Oversee the regulatory matrix and administer conduct compliance programmes (whistleblowing, conflicts of interest, Chinese walls, ABC, etc.), ensuring effective risk mitigation and record-keeping.Design and deliver training sessions on conduct and regulatory compliance to strengthen Bank-wide awareness and accountability.Review and respond to communications from regulators and law enforcement (CBUAE, police, etc.), including actions related to returned cheques, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.Manage communications and requests from internal stakeholders to the CBUAE, including licensing and other regulatory submissions, ensuring timely responses and compliance.Prepare regulatory reports (routine and ad hoc) for submission to CBUAE, ensuring accuracy andTo provide support in the provision of regulatory and compliance advisory services, liaising with the UAE Central Bank (CBUAE) and ensure all compliance and regulatory requirements are metThe ideal candidate should have the following experienceAt least 8 years of experience in banking/Financial Services sector with at least 6 years in the Compliance environmentBachelor’s degree in related field - mandatoryKnowledge of Banking rules and regulations of UAEStrong analytical skills with the ability to conduct gap analyses and interpret complex regulations.Proven Corporate & Investment Banking compliance experience (swaps, derivatives, treasury, and emerging products such as crypto)Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear and concise reports and advisory notes.High attention to detail and accuracy in managing regulatory reporting and breach registers.Ability to design and deliver training programmes related to conduct compliance and regulatory awareness.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.Proactive and solution-oriented approach to regulatory challenges.Collaborative team player with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders.What we offer:Competitive Salary & Additionally, all employees are eligible to participate in one of our rewarding variable pay plans.Comprehensive Benefits Package: This includes market-leading medical insurance, group life and personal accident insurance, paid leave and leave airfare, employee preferential rates on loans and finance facilities, staff discounts and offers, and children education assistance (for certain job levels).Flexible and Remote Working Options: We understand the importance of work-life balance and offer flexible working arrangements, subject to eligibility and job requirements.Learning and Development Opportunities: We value and facilitate continuous learning and personal development through a variety of exciting learning opportunities, such as structured instructor-led courses, a comprehensive e-learning catalog, on-the-job training, and professional development programs.At ADCB, we are dedicated to creating a respectful, caring and disciplined work environment that aligns with your career ambitions.
