The candidate will be responsible for routine microbiological testing, sample and media preparation, laboratory documentation, equipment handling, and ensuring compliance with GMP, GLP, laboratory safety, and approved SOPs.The role requires strong attention to detail, good documentation practices, and effective coordination with the Quality and Microbiology teams.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine microbiological analysis and testing of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, water, and other relevant samples.Perform and support Microbial Limit Testing (MLT) and other routine microbiological procedures as per approved SOPs.Carry out sample preparation, media preparation, sterilization, and culture handling activities.Maintain proper records of test results, observations, media preparation, sterilization, and laboratory activities.Operate and maintain microbiology laboratory instruments and equipment as per approved procedures.Maintain laboratory cleanliness, hygiene, and good housekeeping standards.Support environmental monitoring and other microbiological testing activities, as applicable.Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, GDP, laboratory safety requirements, and internal SOPs.Support investigation of laboratory-related deviations, OOS/OOT, incidents, and other quality events, as applicable.Ensure proper identification, storage, handling, and disposal of microbiological samples, cultures, media, and laboratory waste.Assist in preparation, review, and implementation of microbiology-related SOPs, specifications, protocols, and work instructions.Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Production, R&D, and other relevant departments for timely completion of testing and laboratory activities.Maintain laboratory instruments, logbooks, worksheets, and other controlled documents.Participate in internal audits, inspections, training programs, and continuous improvement initiatives as required.Ensure all laboratory activities are performed accurately, safely, and within defined timelines.Required SkillsGood knowledge of Microbial Limit Testing and routine microbiological techniques.Knowledge of GMP, GLP and Good Documentation Practices.Experience in media preparation, sterilization, microbial testing, and laboratory practices.Good understanding of microbiology laboratory documentation and SOP compliance.Ability to handle laboratory instruments and equipment.Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.Good communication and coordination skills.Ability to work independently as well as in a team.EducationB.Sc. / M.Sc. in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a relevant discipline.Experience2–6 years of relevant experience in Microbiology, preferably in nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, herbal, food, or other regulated manufacturing environments.Preferred CandidateCandidates with experience in nutraceutical / herbal products, pharmaceutical microbiology, food microbiology, or personal care microbiology will be preferred.Key CompetenciesQuality orientationAnalytical and problem-solving skillsAttention to detailDocumentation disciplineTeam collaborationCompliance mindsetTime managementLaboratory safety awarenessWhat We OfferOpportunity to work in a research-driven nutraceutical and herbal organizationExposure to modern formulation, quality, and laboratory practicesCross-functional learning opportunitiesProfessional growth and developmentCollaborative work environmentInterested candidates can share their updated CV with the HR team - jyothi_hr@greenspaceherbs.com / 8123598674
