For more information on GMS, please visit www.gallaghermarine.com.Position Requirements:Organized and detail oriented.Quality written and oral communication skills.Strong public speaking capabilities with a proven track record of delivering training to various audiences.Self-motivated and able to work independently.Ability to adapt and work well in stressful environments.Essential Duties & Responsibilities of the ERS – CA:Act in capacity of an Exercise & Response Specialist, primarily as the Subject Matter Expert regarding Exercise Compliance & Incident Response in California.Must be well versed in exercises and all hazard incidents involving vessels, facilities, and pipelines.Must be proficient in the Incident Command System (ICS) and be able to act as a coach and perform duties as Incident Commander, Section Chief, or other related roles in either participating in small, medium and large-scale exercises and/or incident responses.Assist other GMS Response Managers with remote support and/or deployment during incident responses throughout the USA.Serve as the GMS client and regulatory agency liaison while also growing our response preparedness network in California.Represent the company at Area Committee Meetings and similar industry meetings in a professional manner.Serve as a Qualified Individual (QI), standing watch on both weekdays and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

Readily available to deploy for exercises and incidents for extended periods of time, as needed.Available to work extended hours including after hours, weekends, and holidays.Familiarization with Federal and California State regulations for vessels and facilities.Familiarization with maritime nomenclature.
