Team members join a stable, growth-oriented environment with opportunities to work on complex, precision projects.Role Description The Experienced CNC Setup Machinist is a full-time, on-site role based in Woburn, MA. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and adjusting CNC machines to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting blueprints, selecting tooling, loading programs, performing test runs, and making offsets to ensure accurate dimensions and quality. The machinist will inspect parts using appropriate measuring instruments, document results, and collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve production issues. The role also involves routine machine maintenance, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in the shop.Qualifications Strong CNC setup and operation skills, including selecting tooling, loading programs, and adjusting offsets for tight-tolerance work.Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions, including GD&T.Experience with precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.Solid understanding of machining processes, materials, feeds and speeds, and basic shop math.Ability to troubleshoot machining issues, identify root causes, and make effective process adjustments.Commitment to safety, quality standards, and efficient work practices in a production environment.Previous experience as a CNC setup machinist in a job shop or production setting; experience with multi-axis machines is a plus.High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in machining or manufacturing is preferred.Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members and supervisors.Willingness to adapt to changing priorities, learn new equipment, and participate in continuous improvement efforts.
