Experienced Gas Station / Convenience Store Cashier

Exxon has partnered with DormerBizz to recruit an experienced, dependable cashier for a gas station or convenience store. The ideal candidate will accurately process purchases, responsibly handle payments, and deliver friendly customer service while keeping the checkout area clean and organized.Key ResponsibilitiesTransaction Processing: Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system, ring up merchandise and fuel purchases, and apply authorized discounts or promotions.Payment Handling: Process accepted payment methods, provide correct change, and issue receipts.Cash Management: Count and reconcile cash drawers, maintain accurate transaction records, and promptly report discrepancies.Customer Service: Greet customers, answer questions, and resolve concerns professionally or refer them to management.Returns and Refunds: Process eligible returns, exchanges, and refunds according to store policies.Store Support: Bag purchases, restock checkout merchandise, and keep counters and surrounding areas clean.Safety and Compliance: Follow cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures, verify identification for age-restricted purchases, and report safety concerns.Skills and QualificationsPrevious retail cashier experience with demonstrated accuracy and reliability.Proficiency with POS systems, scanners, and payment terminals.Strong basic math skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage busy periods and work independently or with a team.Availability for assigned shifts, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.Apply through the DormerBizz Hiring Hub.
