The company emphasizes excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction while providing continuous support year-round.Role Description Experienced Korean medical interpreters provide real-time language support for patients, healthcare professionals, and administrative staff in medical settings. This contract, remote role involves interpreting medical consultations via OPI and VRI platforms, accurately conveying symptoms, diagnoses, treatment plans, and consent information between Korean and English. Day-to-day tasks include managing scheduled and on-demand calls, adhering to HIPAA and company confidentiality standards, and using the company’s Interpreter Management System to document sessions and maintain records. Interpreters maintain professional boundaries, follow established medical and ethical guidelines, and participate in ongoing training to stay current with medical terminology and best practices. Collaboration with internal support teams and responsiveness to urgent requests are important aspects of this position.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong skills in Medical Interpretation and Medical Terminology, with proven experience in healthcare or clinical environments.Native or near-native proficiency in Korean and excellent command of English, with clear, professional communication abilities.Completion of a medical interpreter training program or professional certification (e.g., CMI, CHI) is highly beneficial.Strong cultural competence, active listening, and the ability to remain impartial and professional in emotionally sensitive situations.Reliable high-speed internet connection, suitable computer equipment, and a quiet, private workspace for remote interpreting.
