The culture emphasizes compassion, respect, and consistent high standards of care.Role Description The Experienced Psychologist will work on-site in Swindon in a full-time capacity, providing psychological assessment, formulation, and evidence-based interventions for individuals in supported living settings. Responsibilities include conducting individual therapy sessions, developing and reviewing care plans, and collaborating closely with support workers, clinicians, and external agencies to ensure integrated, person-centered care. The role involves monitoring progress, maintaining accurate and timely clinical records, and contributing to risk assessments and safeguarding processes. The psychologist will also offer consultation and training to staff to enhance understanding of mental health, behavior, and trauma-informed approaches. Participation in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical supervision, and service development initiatives will be a regular part of the position.Qualifications Advanced knowledge of psychological assessment, formulation, and evidence-based interventions (e.g., CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care).Experience supporting individuals in supported living, community mental health, or similar social care environments.Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills for working within multidisciplinary teams and with external professionals.Ability to maintain detailed clinical documentation, manage caseloads effectively, and adhere to professional and legal standards.Resilience, empathy, and a person-centered approach to working with people who may have complex needs or challenging behaviors.Doctorate or equivalent qualification in Psychology and appropriate registration or eligibility for registration with a recognized professional body (e.g., HCPC or equivalent).Experience providing staff consultation, reflective practice, or training to enhance psychological understanding in care settings.Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion, and to continuous professional development.
