We are looking for an experienced Breast Surgeon to join a multidisciplinary surgical team providing comprehensive care for patients with benign and malignant breast conditions. The role involves clinical assessment, surgical decision-making, operative management, and coordinated follow-up throughout the patient’s treatment journey.What You’ll Be Responsible ForConduct detailed consultations and clinical examinations for patients presenting with breast-related conditions.Evaluate breast symptoms, masses, abnormalities, and suspected malignancies using appropriate diagnostic pathways.Review and interpret relevant imaging, pathology, and laboratory findings in collaboration with radiology and pathology teams.Develop individualized treatment plans based on the patient's diagnosis, clinical condition, and treatment goals.Perform breast-conserving and other appropriate surgical procedures for benign and malignant breast disease.Manage patients requiring surgical treatment for breast cancer in accordance with established clinical protocols.Perform appropriate axillary procedures, including sentinel lymph node assessment and other nodal surgery where indicated.Provide surgical management for benign breast disorders, including breast lumps, cysts, infections, and other non-malignant conditions.Coordinate care with medical oncology, radiation oncology, radiology, pathology, plastic surgery, and other relevant specialties.Participate in multidisciplinary breast and oncology meetings to discuss complex cases and treatment strategies.Provide appropriate preoperative counselling, informed consent, and postoperative care.Monitor recovery, manage postoperative complications, and arrange appropriate follow-up.Maintain accurate patient records, operative notes, treatment plans, and clinical documentation.Contribute to quality-improvement programs, clinical audits, and patient-safety initiatives.Keep current with developments in breast surgery, oncology, surgical techniques, and evidence-based treatment approaches.Clinical EnvironmentThe successful candidate may manage a diverse range of cases involving:Breast cancer and suspected malignancyBenign breast diseasePalpable breast masses and abnormal findingsBreast pain and inflammatory conditionsBreast infections and abscessesBreast-conserving surgeryMastectomy proceduresSentinel lymph node proceduresAxillary surgerySurgical management following neoadjuvant treatmentPostoperative and survivorship follow-upIdeal CandidateMedical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent).Recognized postgraduate qualification in General Surgery, Breast Surgery, Surgical Oncology, or an equivalent specialty, as applicable to the position.Relevant experience in breast surgery within a hospital or specialist clinical setting.Demonstrated exposure to the diagnosis and surgical management of breast diseases.Appropriate professional license or eligibility for licensing in the country of employment.Strong understanding of multidisciplinary cancer care.Excellent clinical judgement, communication, and patient-counselling skills.Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary surgical and oncology team.Commitment to patient safety, ethical practice, and continuing professional development.
