Team members work in a collaborative environment focused on educational access, personalized advising, and measurable results for students.Role Description The Expert Career Advisor is a full-time hybrid role based in Kandy, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. The Advisor will provide one-on-one guidance to students, helping them explore career paths, choose suitable academic programs, and prepare strong applications to UK universities. Daily responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, reviewing and refining application documents, maintaining accurate student records, and communicating regularly through email, calls, and online platforms. The role also involves organizing workshops or small group sessions on topics such as career planning, interview preparation, and university selection, while coordinating closely with the broader advising team to ensure consistent, high-quality support.Qualifications Strong counseling and advisory skills, including the ability to listen actively, provide clear guidance, and support diverse student needs.Knowledge of UK higher education pathways, university application processes, and common admission requirements.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex information in an accessible way.Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple student cases, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate documentation.Competence with digital tools and online communication platforms used for remote counseling and document sharing.Experience in academic advising, career guidance, education consulting, or a related field is highly beneficial.Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, Business, or a related discipline preferred.Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and non-discriminatory practices when working with students from varied backgrounds.
