Apply & track with Apply EdgeAbout the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Expert in Bioinformatics & AI to lead advanced computational analysis, machine learning model development, and genomic data interpretation. This role will support diagnostic innovation, pathogen surveillance, and AI-driven decision-making in a high-impact research and laboratory environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement bioinformatics pipelines for sequencing and molecular diagnostics.Develop and deploy machine learning and deep learning models for pathogen detection and predictive analytics.Perform genomic analyses including variant calling, phylogenetics, and taxonomic classification.Establish validation frameworks and quality assurance for AI/ML models.Manage databases, HPC infrastructure, and cloud resources.Ensure data security, integrity, and regulatory compliance.Translate complex data insights into actionable outputs for scientific teams.Qualifications & ExperienceMinimum RequirementsMaster’s degree in Bioinformatics, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field.Minimum 5 years of experience in bioinformatics analysis.At least 2 years of experience in ML/DL model development in biological contexts.Experience in predictive modelling for diagnostics or outbreak response.Preferred QualificationsPhD in Bioinformatics, Genomics, or Machine Learning.Experience with regulatory frameworks (ISO, GLP, AI governance).Skills & CompetenciesTechnical SkillsProgramming: Python, R, BashBioinformatics tools and genomic databasesMachine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.)Core CompetenciesAnalytical thinking and modelling rigorProblem-solving and troubleshootingEffective communication of complex dataWhy Join UsWork at the intersection of AI and life sciencesContribute to cutting-edge genomic and diagnostic innovationBe part of a high-performance, research-driven environment.
