Export Logistics Specialist

Headquartered in the heart of Silicon Valley, California, Sycomp has successfully shipped, deployed and managed complex IT projects and supporting assets in more than 150 countries helping its Fortune 500 customers and global partners realize a world without boundaries.Responsibilities:Process domestic and international air freight shipments, primarily technology and computer equipmentPrepare and review shipping documentation, including HS codes, ECCN, VAT, and customs paperworkUse ECW and related systems to ensure accurate shipment and trade complianceCoordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokersSupport a floating role between Burlingame and Union City warehousesPack, label, and move equipment (up to 75 lbs) for outbound shipmentsTrack shipments, resolve delays, and handle time-sensitive shipping issuesManage multiple shipments simultaneously while meeting deadlines Qualifications:3+ years of experience in shipping and transportation logistics, including domestic and international air freightProven experience shipping technology and computer equipmentStrong understanding of international shipping requirements, including HS Codes, VAT, customs documentation, and complianceFamiliarity with ECW (Enterprise Control/Compliance Warehouse) systems and trade compliance workflowsKnowledge of regulatory systems such as HS/Cierra codes (or similar trade compliance systems)Ability to support a floating logistics role between two warehouse locations (Burlingame and Union City)Excellent oral and written communication skillsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projectsSelf-motivated team player with a proactive, solution-oriented mindsetDemonstrated ability to quickly learn new processes and proceduresAbility to perform effectively in high-pressure situations and “think outside the box”Physical ability to lift and move items weighing up to 75 lbs Required Skills:Basic knowledge of computer concepts and related technologiesPractical experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointBilingual skills are a plus (Mandarin, Japanese, or Spanish) Pay range and compensation package:The compensation for this role starts at $75,000 annual.Technology Means the World to UsTechnology connects people, enables business, fosters innovation, and helps organizations operate without boundaries.
