international customers while meeting commercial, regulatory, and service requirements.The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Export Manager to lead international export operations, documentation, customer coordination, shipping, trade compliance, freight management, export planning, and continuous improvement.The successful candidate will oversee the complete export order cycle, from order confirmation and documentation through shipment, customs clearance, delivery coordination, invoicing, and post-shipment support.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the organization's export operations function.Develop and implement the export strategy aligned with commercial and supply-chain objectives.Establish export policies, procedures, standards, and controls.Manage end-to-end export processes across international markets.Coordinate export activities across Sales, Logistics, Supply Chain, Customs, Finance, Warehousing, Compliance, and Customer Service.Establish export operating calendars and shipment-planning processes.Review export orders and confirm readiness for international shipment.Coordinate export requirements with Sales and Customer Service teams.Validate customer orders, delivery requirements, shipping terms, quantities, destinations, and documentation requirements.Ensure export orders are processed accurately and on time.Monitor export order status from order confirmation through final delivery.Identify and resolve shipment delays, documentation issues, customs holds, and logistics constraints.Establish export shipment schedules.Coordinate shipment planning with warehouses, production, logistics providers, freight forwarders, and customers.Optimize shipment consolidation and transportation arrangements.Determine appropriate shipping modes based on cost, urgency, product requirements, and customer commitments.Coordinate ocean, air, road, courier, and multimodal export shipments where applicable.Evaluate freight options and service levels.Coordinate with freight forwarders and carriers.Establish service-level agreements and performance expectations for logistics providers.Monitor freight-forwarder performance.Review booking confirmations, shipping schedules, transit times, and delivery milestones.Escalate delays and develop recovery plans.Negotiate freight rates and service agreements in coordination with Procurement.Analyze freight costs and identify opportunities for savings.Optimize shipment consolidation and container utilization.Reduce unnecessary expedited shipments and avoidable logistics costs.Coordinate export documentation.Ensure commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading, airway bills, export declarations, permits, licenses, and other required documents are accurate and complete.Establish document checklists by country, product, and shipment type.Review export documentation before shipment.Reduce documentation errors and customs-related delays.Ensure shipping documents are issued within required timelines.Coordinate document submission with customers, banks, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other parties.Maintain accurate export records.Manage export customs processes.Coordinate with the Customs Manager and customs brokers to ensure compliant export declarations.Verify HS classifications, product descriptions, quantities, values, origins, and other customs information.Ensure export shipments meet applicable customs requirements.Coordinate responses to customs queries and inspections.Resolve customs holds and export-clearance issues.Monitor export customs-clearance timelines.Ensure appropriate export permits and licenses are obtained for controlled or regulated goods.Coordinate with Trade Compliance and Legal teams regarding export controls and restricted destinations.Review sanctions, embargoes, restricted-party requirements, export-control classifications, and applicable licensing requirements where relevant.Ensure shipments are not released without appropriate approvals.Establish export-compliance controls.Maintain supporting records for export transactions.Monitor regulatory changes affecting export operations.Communicate changes to relevant stakeholders.Manage country-specific export requirements.Develop export procedures for new countries and markets.Research destination-country import requirements in coordination with relevant teams.Identify documentation, labeling, packaging, certification, inspection, and product requirements.Coordinate with international customers regarding destination requirements.Support international-market expansion projects.Evaluate export feasibility for new markets.Develop export operating plans for new countries.Identify logistics, customs, regulatory, commercial, and service requirements before launch.Coordinate with Sales and Business Development teams on international opportunities.Support export quotations and commercial proposals.Provide freight, duty, documentation, lead-time, and logistics-cost inputs.Evaluate export-related commercial terms.Support appropriate Incoterms selection and application.Ensure responsibilities for transportation, insurance, customs, documentation, and risk transfer are clearly defined.Coordinate with Finance regarding export payment terms.Monitor letters of credit, documentary collections, advance payments, open-account terms, or other applicable arrangements.Ensure export documents comply with banking requirements where applicable.Coordinate with controlled goods is advantageous.Strong shipment-planning and logistics-coordination skills.Experience managing international customers and shipment escalations.Strong freight-cost analysis and negotiation capabilities.Experience with export claims and cargo insurance.Strong knowledge of customs clearance and international documentation.Experience with ERP, TMS, WMS, or export-management systems.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or logistics analytics is advantageous.Strong process-improvement and project-management capabilities.Excellent Business, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.CIPS, APICS/ASCM, customs, trade-compliance, or logistics certification is advantageous.Strong knowledge of UAE and GCC export procedures and international trade practices is highly desirable.Experience exporting from UAE ports, airports, and free zones is advantageous.Arabic language proficiency is advantageous.
