The brand designs rugs as enduring foundational layers, intended to age gracefully and remain relevant over time.Role Description The Export Manager role at Saraswati Global Rugs is a full-time, on-site position based in Jaipur. The Export Manager will oversee international sales operations, manage export documentation, coordinate logistics, and ensure compliance with global trade regulations. This role involves developing and executing export strategies, nurturing relationships with international buyers and distributors, and identifying new market opportunities. The Export Manager will collaborate with production, design, and finance teams to align inventory, pricing, and delivery schedules with international orders. Daily activities include monitoring shipment timelines, managing negotiations, preparing reports on export performance, and representing the brand in international trade communications.Key Responsibilities: Prepare and review export documentation such as Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading/AWB, Certificate of Origin, and other required documents. Ensure accuracy and compliance of documents as per country-specific regulations and customer requirements. Coordinate with logistics partners including freight forwarders, CHA (Custom House Agents), and shipping lines for smooth shipment execution. Handle courier shipments through platforms like DHL and FedEx, including documentation and tracking. Manage export benefits and incentives, including RoDTEP, and ensure timely processing of claims. Work closely with the finance team for payment terms such as LC (Letter of Credit), advance payments, and bank documentation. Maintain proper records of shipments, invoices, and export data. Use Excel for tracking shipments, preparing reports, and maintaining documentation logs. Monitor shipment timelines and resolve any documentation or logistics-related discrepancies. Coordinate internally with production, merchandising, and dispatch teams to ensure timely order fulfilment. Required Skills & Qualifications: Graduate in Commerce / Business Administration or related field. 4-9 years of experience in export documentation, preferably in textile or handicraft industry. Hands-on experience with DGFT, ECGC (Export Credit Guarantee Corporation) documentation/processes. Working knowledge of courier platforms such as DHL and FedEx. Strong understanding of export benefits such as RoDTEP. Good knowledge of logistics processes, freight forwarding, CHA operations, and shipping documentation.
