This role oversees the bank’s safety and security posture, providing expert consulting on physical and digital security risks, and recommending mitigation measures aligned with regulatory and industry standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing security policies and procedures, conducting risk and vulnerability analyses, and coordinating with internal stakeholders to implement safety and security improvements. The consultant will monitor emerging threats, support incident response activities, and ensure compliance with relevant security frameworks and guidelines. The role also involves preparing reports and presentations for senior management, advising on security awareness initiatives, and collaborating with technology and operations teams to embed security best practices across Mashreq’s environment.Qualifications Strong expertise in Security Consulting, including risk assessment, security strategy development, and advisory support.Proficiency in Application Security to evaluate and improve the security of banking applications and digital platforms.Solid background in Cybersecurity, with experience in threat analysis, incident response, and security controls implementation.Knowledge of Network Security to safeguard infrastructure, monitor network activity, and reduce exposure to external and internal threats.Experience in Information Security, including policies, governance, data protection, and regulatory compliance.Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are an advantage.Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a structured approach to documentation and reporting.Prior experience in financial services or banking security environments is preferred.
