Team members work in a technically advanced environment that supports professional growth and exposure to diverse marine engineering and fabrication work.Role Description The Fabrication Foreman is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi, responsible for overseeing daily fabrication activities in the workshop and yard. This role includes supervising fabrication teams, planning and allocating work, and ensuring tasks are completed safely, on schedule, and to required quality standards. The foreman coordinates the use of heavy equipment, tools, and materials, reviews drawings and specifications, and provides technical guidance on steel fabrication, carpentry-related tasks, and structural assembly. Daily responsibilities also cover monitoring maintenance needs of fabrication equipment, enforcing safety procedures, conducting toolbox talks, and reporting progress and issues to project and site management. The role requires close collaboration with engineers, supervisors, and other departments to support shipbuilding, repair, and marine construction projects.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills, including team coordination, task delegation, and performance monitoring.Candidates should possess experience working with Heavy Equipment commonly used in fabrication and marine construction environments.Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for coordinating with teams, management, and other project stakeholders.Candidates should possess practical Carpentry skills relevant to marine and industrial structures, including measurement and assembly.Candidates should possess Maintenance skills to ensure fabrication tools and equipment are kept in safe, reliable working condition.Relevant skills such as reading fabrication drawings, knowledge of welding and steel fabrication processes, and understanding of marine construction standards are beneficial.Experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, or heavy steel construction, preferably in a foreperson or lead role, is highly advantageous.A technical diploma or trade certification in fabrication, mechanical, or marine engineering, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, familiarity with HSE procedures, and ability to work in demanding outdoor and industrial environments are required.
