Facade Consultant - Freelance

Job DescriptionWe are excited to announce an opportunity for a Freelance Façade Consultant to work with our Dubai based Interdisciplinary Design & Research (IDR) team on some of the most exciting projects in the MENA region. Job Type: Freelance (a full-time job offer could be offered later based on performance review). Workplace Type: Remotely, Office-based in Dubai, or Hybrid are all welcome to apply.Please read carefully the below requirements:Qualifications· At least 3-5 years’ experience in façade design and consulting of complex/iconic building envelopes and lightweight structures· Bachelor’s Degree or above in a an architectural or engineering-design-based field: Architecture/Mechanical/Industrial/Structural EngineeringPersonal Qualities· Self-motivated· Team player· Capable of multitasking and working on multiple projects simultaneously· Capable of handling pressure while working remotely· Understands and respects corporate discipline and internationally recognised business etiquetteSkills & Knowledge· Experience working on complex/iconic international projects· Proficiency in building envelopes and lightweight structures related technical design, detailing, construction, and installation principles · Proficiency in using 2D and 3D CAD software like AutoCAD and Rhino· Good written and verbal communication skills (English)· Good graphic design and visual presentation skills · Ability to produce conceptual sketches and diagrams· Ability to produce 2D and 3D façade CAD details· Capable of assisting in formulating professional reports and PowerPoint presentations · Good communication and coordination skillsResponsibilities· Produce 2D CAD drawings and 3D CAD models for complex architectural façade designs· Formulate a façade 2D CAD tender package and IFC drawings · Conceptual visualisation of architectural and engineering designs using rendering software or AI · Assist in formulating façade design reports and PowerPoint presentations· Able to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams of consultants, contractors and suppliersPreferred / Bonus· Knowledge of BIM authoring tools, such as Revit would be a huge bonus· Knolwedge of parametric design tools such as Grasshopper & Dynamo to control software like Rhino, Tekla and Revit would be a huge bonus· Any CAD visualisation/rendering tools like Enscape or KeyShot would be a huge bonus· Knowledge of AI tools is a huge bonusApplication RequirementsIn addition to the above, please submit the following documents long with your application:· CV· Presentable mini portfolio in PDF format of decent resolution Important Notes· Please do not include Wetransfer links or CAD files in your submission.
