Position: Utilities SupervisorLocation: Factory – Saudi Arabia (Sudair)Job Type: Full-timeReporting to: Maintenance ManagerJob SummaryThe Maintenance Utilities Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all factory utility systems, including compressed air, nitrogen generators, HVAC, electrical distribution, water systems, sewage systems, LPG systems, generators, and supporting infrastructure.The role is accountable for utility availability, preventive maintenance execution, contractor coordination, energy efficiency, statutory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives to support uninterrupted factory operations.Key Responsibilities1. Utility Operations ManagementEnsure continuous operation of all utility systems supporting operations.Monitor utility performance and capacity utilization.Ensure adequate utility supply during normal and peak production periods.Coordinate planned shutdowns and utility-related interventions.2. Preventive & Predictive MaintenanceDevelop and execute utility preventive maintenance plans.Ensure PM compliance and effectiveness.Monitor equipment condition and identify potential failures before breakdown.Improve reliability through predictive and condition-based maintenance practices.3. Breakdown & Reliability ManagementLead troubleshooting and recovery of utility breakdowns.Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring failures.Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).Drive improvement of MTBF and reduction of MTTR.4. Utility Systems ScopeManage maintenance and performance of:Air compressors and compressed air networkNitrogen Generators and Nitrogen NetworkHVAC systems and ventilationWater supply systemsSewage and drainage systemsLPG systemsElectrical distribution systemsGenerators and backup power systemsCooling systems and chillersPumps, tanks, and associated infrastructure5. Energy & Resource ManagementMonitor electricity, water, compressed air, and fuel consumption.Identify losses, leaks, and inefficiencies.Lead initiatives to reduce utility cost per ton produced.Support sustainability and energy-saving projects.6. Team LeadershipSupervise utility technicians and contractors.Assign daily and weekly maintenance activities.Ensure proper manpower utilization and shift coverage.Coach and develop technician capabilities.7. Spare Parts & Inventory ManagementDefine critical spare parts requirements.Review inventory levels and reorder points.Support spare parts optimization and standardization.Participate in annual spare parts budgeting.8. Safety, Compliance & Risk ManagementEnsure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.Enforce LOTO, confined space, hot work, and permit-to-work requirements.Ensure statutory inspections and certifications are completed on time.Maintain emergency preparedness for utility failures.9. Contractor & Project ManagementSupervise external contractors performing utility-related work.Review contractor performance and compliance.Support utility upgrades, expansions, and capital projects.Participate in commissioning and startup activities.10. Performance Reporting & GovernanceMaintain accurate maintenance records in CMMS/EAM.Report utility KPIs and reliability metrics.Conduct weekly utility performance reviews.Support annual budgeting and strategic planning activities.Required QualificationsDiploma or bachelor's degree in mechanical, engineering, electrical, engineering, Mechatronics or related field5+ years maintenance experience in industrial environments.Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.Experience with utility systems in FMCG, food, or manufacturing industries.
