Facilities Manager

Role Description The Facilities Manager role at TCNA Handbook / Tile Matters is a part-time, on-site position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Facilities Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the facility, including building systems, workspace organization, and safety compliance. Responsibilities include coordinating repairs and preventive maintenance, managing vendor and contractor relationships, and monitoring utilities and facility-related budgets. The role also involves implementing health, safety, and accessibility standards, supporting sustainability initiatives, and ensuring that office and storage areas are functional and well maintained. The Facilities Manager will collaborate with internal teams to schedule facility-related activities, respond to issues promptly, and maintain accurate records of inspections and maintenance.QualificationsDemonstrated experience in facilities management, building operations, or property maintenance within commercial or office environments.Working knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing), safety regulations, and accessibility standards relevant to facility operations.Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage schedules, and coordinate multiple vendors or service providers.Proficiency in basic computer applications and facility management tools for tracking maintenance activities, budgets, and inventories.Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams, contractors, and external partners in a diverse environment.Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying issues, implementing preventive measures, and supporting sustainability practices.Experience working in the United Arab Emirates or familiarity with local building codes and regulations is an advantage.Relevant diploma or degree in facilities management, engineering, building services, or a related field is preferred.
