Apply & track with Apply EdgeJob SummaryThe Facilities Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of facility services to ensure the building(s) remain safe, clean, properly maintained, and compliant with applicable regulations. This role manages vendors and coordinates maintenance activities, ensuring work is completed efficiently, within budget, and to required standards.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate facility operations, including:Maintenance scheduling and prioritizationPreventive maintenance (PM) activitiesRepairs and troubleshooting coordinationBuilding cleanliness, waste management, and general upkeepOversee and manage facility vendors/service contractors (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pest control, security support).Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify issues, safety hazards, and compliance gaps.Ensure compliance with:Health and safety requirementsFire/life safety procedures and inspectionsLocal building and maintenance regulationsManage maintenance requests and tickets; track progress and closure.Support budgeting and cost control for facility-related activities (spares, contractors, service contracts).Maintain accurate documentation and records (inspection logs, PM logs, work orders, incident reports).Coordinate emergency response efforts (e.g., power outages, leaks, equipment failures) with relevant teams.Train, supervise, and support facility staff/technicians (if applicable).Ensure facility equipment is maintained and operating safely and effectively.Monitor and report facility KPIs (uptime, response time, work order closure, recurring issues).Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree or technical certification in facilities management, engineering, building management, or a related field is preferred.Proven experience in facilities supervision or maintenance coordination (typically 3–5+ years).Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire systems, lighting, life-safety).Working knowledge of safety standards and facility compliance requirements.Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.Valid driver’s license (if site visits across locations are required).Skills and CompetenciesLeadership and team managementVendor management and negotiationStrong communication (written and verbal)Troubleshooting and root-cause thinkingPlanning, scheduling, and recordkeepingCustomer service mindset (internal stakeholders)Work EnvironmentOffice and facility environments; exposure to outdoor conditions and noise may occur.May require occasional after-hours or on-call availability for emergencies.
