The role ensures that all mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), HVAC, fire protection, and other building services operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and local regulations. The Facility Engineer will coordinate preventive maintenance, supervise contractors, and ensure uninterrupted facility operations.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the day-to-day operation and maintenance of all facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, firefighting, and building management systems (BMS).Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.Monitor facility performance and ensure all equipment operates efficiently.Coordinate with contractors and service providers for maintenance, repairs, and inspections.Conduct routine facility inspections and identify maintenance requirements.Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues and coordinate corrective actions.Monitor utility consumption and recommend energy-saving initiatives.Prepare maintenance reports, equipment records, and performance analyses.Manage maintenance budgets and control operational costs.Supervise maintenance technicians and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance materials.Support fit-out, renovation, and facility improvement projects.Ensure statutory inspections and certifications are completed on time.Liaise with internal departments to resolve facility-related issues and improve service quality.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.Professional certifications in Facilities Management are an advantage.UAE Driving License is preferred.ExperienceMinimum 3–5 years of experience in facilities management or building maintenance.Experience managing commercial, residential, industrial, or mixed-use facilities.Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and building maintenance systems.Experience coordinating with contractors and service providers.Skills & CompetenciesStrong technical knowledge of MEP systems.Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS).Good understanding of preventive maintenance planning.Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).Knowledge of UAE building codes and health & safety regulations.Strong organizational and reporting skills.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Preventive maintenance completion rate.Equipment uptime and system reliability.Response time to maintenance requests.Reduction in equipment breakdowns.Energy and utility cost optimization.Compliance with statutory inspections and safety regulations.Contractor performance and service quality.Facility maintenance budget adherence.
